No mans sky is neat in VR! Worth it imo. Walking dead saints and sinners is popular. Revive can be used to play some well worth playing oculus exclusives, lone echo, asguards wrath, storm lands. (I havnt tried revive on the index yet. Not sure how it compares to using the vive in terms of mappings)

Resources, on average, are less plentiful on Survival versus Normal. Plus the DEATH PENALTY is much more severe. In Normal, you can get your backpack inventory back by going to your grave marker and picking it up. But, in Survival, you lose everything that was in your inventory.
Whichever you enjoy the most. I play in Permadeath almost exclusively. Most people play Normal mode though, so if you're looking to play with others, that's probably the mode to choose. I usually play on normal for a regular playthrough and survival/perma for special themed playthroughs.
2) Depending on the difficulty mode, being on planets is a survival sim. After a hundred hours it can be repetitive unless you are easily entertained by the differences in the procedurally generated worlds. 3) There is no coop/multiplayer and don't plan on it ever happening. #3.
I would say its worth grabbing - and I haven't played it in about a year. I was in the same boat where I sort of enjoyed launch and then drifted away. The updates really give you a lot more options with how to play the game. It's a very different game now. The grind is what you make it.
